What and adorable layout - all the smiley faces make me happy! What I love about spring is watching the earth reawaken - grass turning green, leaves decorating the trees and flowers blooming! I'm a new follower...if you get a chance, I'd love for you to stop by my blog and follow as well :)

Congrats lisa! I will be sending you an email shortly! Thanks to everyone who participated in this blog hop!

THINK SPRING BLOG HOP!

Hi friends!

Welcome to the "Think Spring Blog Hop"! Yaaaaay! I'm so excited to be part of this hop! This is my very first hop, can you believe it!? I'm so honored to be working with such a talented group of crafters! If you came from Nadia's Blog then you're right on track, if not make sure to start at the beginning with the very talented Jessica!

I love spring, the one thing I always look forward to when spring is among us is seeing the trees with leaves and the tulips that seem to pop up everywhere in Manhattan. Spring is just a beautiful time of year.

Now on to my project!
First off let me apologize for the quality of my photos, my camera decided to die on me today of all days :-( When I found out that I was going to be part of this hop, I knew right away that I wanted to make a 2 page layout for my family scrapbook. I have so many pictures of my 3 kids running and playing outside in the sun.

All the paper I used for my layout was from the Recollections Brand. I used my gypsy along with the "Lyrical Letters" cartridge to create the title at the top, and all the other cuts are from "Create a Critter".

Now, whats a hop without some candy! Angelica from Market Street Stamps was generous enough to donate a stamp set called "So Happy". Its a perfect stamp set for the spring! Jessica-Creative Stamper will be collecting all the comments left on everyone's page and choose a winner that way. So,the more comments you leave the more chances you have to win!

I also have some blog candy that I'm giving away

OK, so this is what you have to do to enter:

1.Leave a comment telling me what you love about spring!

2.Become a follower

Easy Peasy! I will choose a winner via Random.org on Thursday, April 21, 2011.

Now on to your next stop, the peachy princess Angelica!

Hi friends!

I hope you all are having a wonderful night! I felt super inspired to try my hand at coloring this adorable sleeping bear with some prisma colored pencils and orderless mineral spirits. I think it came out pretty good, and it was soooooo easy!

So, I made these invites for my etsy shop. I just love this stamp! Peachy keen stamps has some of the most adorable image stamps out there, very good quality too.

I hope you guys enjoyed my newest creation and your night! Recipe after the photos!

PRINCESS LEAH

Hi friends!

So, a good friend of mine called me up and said she needed a diaper cake for a shower in the next few days, and here is what I came up with!
The only thing she wanted was for me to use lime green and pink, because those were the colors of the shower.

I decided to go with a princess, flower and butterfly theme. I cut out the Princess from the "Once upon a princess" cartridge at 4 inches and I cut the letters to form the baby's name from the "Storybook" cartridge at 4 inches.I got the flower for the top of the cake from mike's and the butterflies also from mike's were hot glued down.

I hope you guys have a fabulous day!

1ST BIRTHDAY CUPCAKE FAVOR BOXES

Hi friends!

I was recently asked to create a few things for a little girl's 1st birthday party. The theme of the party was cupcakes and butterflies. These are the favors that I came up with. Individual cupcake boxes with yummy cupcakes inside. What better treat to give to your guests! i didn't take pictures of the cupcakes themselves but I assure you, they were baked to chocolate perfection!

I started with white cupcake boxes that measured at 4x4x4. I tied brown satin ribbon around the boxes (30 in total). I cut out the r from the storybook cartridge at 4 inches. The "R" represents Raven which is the little girl's name. Then I cut out the little cupcake tag from the "Sweet Treats" cartridge at 3 inches and stamped the sentiment with white ink. The "thanks so much" sentiment came from a stamp set from Paper trey Ink called "Mega mixed messages.

BE MINE OR ELSE! (VALENTINE'S DAY CARD # 8)

Hi friends!

I'm such a slacker! I haven't posted in over a week! So sorry guys, I've been busy with the day to day and I was under the weather for a few days. So here is another valentine's day card!

I'm entering this card in 2 challenges:

1- Paper Playtime challenge # 37 (Create a project using cupid or a heart)
2- Lindy's Stamp Gang Contest (Create a project using your fave colors)

What do you guys think of the stamp? Isn’t it so adorable?! I literally bought the stamp set for that one stamp, lol!

This card is a standard A2 size. The red designer paper is from target (dollar bin). I cut the cute little bird from the "3 birds on parade" cartridge at 3 inches and I cut the circle for the sentiment from the "mini monograms" cartridge at 2.5 inches. The heart bling is from mikes (recollections)and I finished it off with some stitching with my white and my black gel pen.

Hope you guys have a fabulous night!

SCRAPPY MOMS TERRIFIC TUESDAY CHALLENGE (VALENTINE'S DAY CARD # 7)

Hi friends!

It's challenge time again over at scrappy moms blog! This week their challenge is to create something using the "Sweethearts" cartridge.

I've been making almost nothing but valentine's day cards, so I decided to make another one! Sweethearts is the perfect cartridge for anything love related!

So, using my gypsy I welded two scallop squares together, they both measure at 5 1/2 inches. Then I cut another scallop square at 4.68, if you don't own a gypsy I think 4 1/2 would do just fine. These squares are from the "Mini monograms" cartridge. Then I cut the little love birds and all their layers at 2 1/2 inches from the "sweethearts" cartridge. The sentiment "How tweet it is" is from my pink stampers "Tweetie Ho Puns" stamp set. I added some red satin ribbon and voila!:)

Hope you guys have a fabulous night!

SO SMALL & BRAND NEW LAYOUT

Hi friends!

I'm the first to admit that I'm such a slacker when it comes to making layouts. I think that with the card craze going on we all have found ourselves making more cards and falling way behind on our scrap booking, lol. Well, one of my resolutions this year is to complete at least two scrapbooks. With three young kids and two dogs, I have way too many pictures! I definitely have to get more layouts done!

I made this layout for my son's book. I will be putting pictures of him when he was first born.
I used the "new arrival" cartridge to cut out the airplane, it was cut at 5 inches, the banner also from new arrival was cut at 6 inches and the clouds (new arrival again) was cut at 5 inches. The banner, clouds and layers for the plane are all one cut but I separated them using the hide contour feature on my gypsy, which is why I was able to make all the pieces a different size. The sentiment on the top of the page was cut from the "Lyrical letters" cartridge. I also used peachy keen stamps to stamp little faces on the clouds.

Hope you guys have a fabulous day!

WE GO TOGETHER LIKE BEANS AND RICE CARD (VALENTINES DAY CARD #6)

Hi friends!

So I've been a little busy with every day life and I've neglected my blog for a little bit but I'm back! Here's another super cute Valentine's Day Card! I absolutely adore these stamps! What do you guys think of my coloring? I just started using my prisma color markers recently and I think they do a great job!

This is a standard A2 size card. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the pink paper and I used a ek success punch for the dark red paper (sorry guys, Ive had the punch for a while and cant remember the name) I cut the scallop circle from the mini monograms cartridge at 3 inches and I cut the circle also from mini monograms at 3 inches. I used the "BFF" stamp set from market street stamps for the image and sentiment!

I hope you guys have a fabulous day!

This card is a standard A2 size. I cut the cute little love bird and all her layers at 3 inches from the "birthday bash" cartridge. I added some cute little googly eyes from mike's. The big heart was cut from the "George and basic shapes" cartridge at 1 3/4 inches and the little hearts I had lying around but I believe they were cut from "A walk in my garden".

EMMA'S THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLENGE (VALENTINES DAY CARD #2)

Hi friends!

Emma is having another "Throwback Thursday" challenge over on her blog. She's super talented and has a ton of inspirational videos. To check out her blog CLICK HERE.

The challenge is to create anything using an older cart as long as there's a heart somewhere. What better opportunity to make another Valentine's Day card!

So, when I saw the "Postmarked with Love" sentiment I knew right away that I wanted a love mail type of theme. This card is what I came up with. I think it came out pretty cute!

The card is a standard A2 size card. I cut the sentiment from the "3 birds on parade" cartridge at 1 1/2 inches. The mailbox was cut from the "Doodlecharms" cartridge at 3 inches and the hearts were also cut from the doodlecharms cartridge.

LOVE TREAT BOXES

Hi Friends!

I hope you all are having a fabulous morning! So, I was totally inspired by yolibean to make these Valentine's Day treat boxes. They were so easy to make! All you need for this project is card stock, your cricut and an empty jewelery box. My box measured at 4x4. To see a complete tutorial on how to make this adorable box CLICK HERE.

I cut out the scallop hearts from the "Doodlecharms" at 7 inches and then at 6 1/2 inches and just glued them together. So that's 4 hearts per box. The little dog and cat I cut from the "Sweethearts" cartridge at 3 inches and the sentiments also from the sweethearts cartridge was cut at 3 3/4 inches.I glittered both sentiments with my red Martha Stewart glitter and I flocked both of their noses and the kitty's ears. I used red sticky tape to attach the hearts to the box.

Hope you guys enjoy your day!
