SCRAPPY MOMS TERRIFIC TUESDAY CHALLENGE (VALENTINE'S DAY CARD # 7)

Hi friends!

It's challenge time again over at scrappy moms blog! This week their challenge is to create something using the "Sweethearts" cartridge.

I've been making almost nothing but valentine's day cards, so I decided to make another one! Sweethearts is the perfect cartridge for anything love related!

So, using my gypsy I welded two scallop squares together, they both measure at 5 1/2 inches. Then I cut another scallop square at 4.68, if you don't own a gypsy I think 4 1/2 would do just fine. These squares are from the "Mini monograms" cartridge. Then I cut the little love birds and all their layers at 2 1/2 inches from the "sweethearts" cartridge. The sentiment "How tweet it is" is from my pink stampers "Tweetie Ho Puns" stamp set. I added some red satin ribbon and voila!:)

SO SMALL & BRAND NEW LAYOUT

Hi friends!

I'm the first to admit that I'm such a slacker when it comes to making layouts. I think that with the card craze going on we all have found ourselves making more cards and falling way behind on our scrap booking,lol. Well, one of my resolutions this year is to complete at least two scrapbooks. With three young kids and two dogs, I have way too many pictures! I definitely have to get more layouts done!

I made this layout for my son's book. I will be putting pictures of him when he was first born.
I used the "new arrival" cartridge to cut out the airplane, it was cut at 5 inches, the banner also from new arrival was cut at 6 inches and the clouds (new arrival again) was cut at 5 inches. The banner, clouds and layers for the plane are all one cut but I separated them using the hide contour feature on my gypsy, which is why I was able to make all the pieces a different size. The sentiment on the top of the page was cut from the "Lyrical letters" cartridge. I also used peachy keen stamps to stamp little faces on the clouds.

WE GO TOGETHER LIKE BEANS AND RICE CARD (VALENTINES DAY CARD #6)

So I've been a little busy with every day life and I've neglected my blog for a little bit but I'm back! Here's another super cute Valentine's Day Card! I absolutely adore these stamps! What do you guys think of my coloring? I just started using my prisma color markers recently and I think they do a great job!

This is a standard A2 size card. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the pink paper and I used a ek success punch for the dark red paper (sorry guys, Ive had the punch for a while and cant remember the name) I cut the scallop circle from the mini monograms cartridge at 3 inches and I cut the circle also from mini monograms at 3 inches. I used the "BFF" stamp set from market street stamps for the image and sentiment!

Hi friends! Here is another challenge! Scrappy mom stamps is having their first ever "Terrific Tuesday" challenge! I personally love their stamps, they are very high quality and they have the cutest sentiments. If you're interested in purchasing CLICK HERE.

The challenge is simply to use the birthday bash cartridge or if you don't have it use a simialr cut from a different cartridge. Luckily my birthday bash cartridge arrived a few days ago,lol. I love it!

This card is a standard A2 size. I cut the cute little love bird and all her layers at 3 inches from the "birthday bash" cartridge. I added some cute little googly eyes from mike's. The big heart was cut from the "George and basic shapes" cartridge at 1 3/4 inches and the little hearts I had lying around but I believe they were cut from "A walk in my garden".

So, peachy keen stamps is having another challenge on their blog. You have to create a card based on a sketch that they provided. To enter in this challenge CLICK HERE.
I decided to take advantage and create another Valentine's Day Card! Yes, I've been on a roll with these lately,lol.

This card is a 5x7. I cut the marquee shape from the "Once upon a princess" cartridge at 5 inches, the lock and key was cut from the "Sentimentals" cartridge at 2 3/4 inches each and the sentiment, also from sentimentals was cut at 1 3/4 inches. The heart was cut from the "George and basic shapes" cartridge at 2 1/2 inches. I used the "Everyday Character Assortment" stamp set from peachy keen stamps.

YOU WARM ME UP! (VALENTINE'S DAY CARD # 3)

I finally received my market street stamps and I was so excited to play with them! I thought this image was perfect for a Valentine's Day card. Isn't it adorable! Can you tell I'm overly excited about these stamps! LOL. If you're interested in purchasing these stamps CLICK HERE.

This card is a standard A2 size card. I cut out the square and the scallop square from the mini monograms cartridge at 4 inches. The background designer paper is from the new valentines stack from Martha Stewart, the image and the sentiment is from the "BFF" stamp set from market street stamps.

EMMA'S THROWBACK THURSDAY CHALLENGE (VALENTINES DAY CARD #2)

The challenge is to create anything using an older cart as long as there's a heart somewhere. What better opportunity to make another Valentine's Day card!

So, when I saw the "Postmarked with Love" sentiment I knew right away that I wanted a love mail type of theme. This card is what I came up with. I think it came out pretty cute!

The card is a standard A2 size card. I cut the sentiment from the "3 birds on parade" cartridge at 1 1/2 inches. The mailbox was cut from the "Doodlecharms" cartridge at 3 inches and the hearts were also cut from the doodlecharms cartridge.

LOVE TREAT BOXES

Hi Friends!

I hope you all are having a fabulous morning! So, I was totally inspired by yolibean to make these Valentine's Day treat boxes. They were so easy to make! All you need for this project is card stock, your cricut and an empty jewelery box. My box measured at 4x4. To see a complete tutorial on how to make this adorable box CLICK HERE.

I cut out the scallop hearts from the "Doodlecharms" at 7 inches and then at 6 1/2 inches and just glued them together. So that's 4 hearts per box. The little dog and cat I cut from the "Sweethearts" cartridge at 3 inches and the sentiments also from the sweethearts cartridge was cut at 3 3/4 inches.I glittered both sentiments with my red Martha Stewart glitter and I flocked both of their noses and the kitty's ears. I used red sticky tape to attach the hearts to the box.

Love is in the air! As soon as I saw this frog, I knew I had to use him for one of my Valentine's Day cards. Isn't he cute! This is actually the first time I attempted to make a pop up card, and it actually worked! I had to try it twice but the end result was worth it!

This card is a little diff rent, it's a square 5x5 card. I cut the pink scallop square mat from the "Better together" imagine cartridge at 4 inches, then I cut the frog from the "Sweethearts" cartridge at 4 inches as well. I ran his little crown threw my xyron machine and covered it in red Martha Stewart glitter. The kiss me on the inside was also from the "Sweethearts" cartridge and was cut at 3 1/2 inches. I also covered it with red glitter. The love sentiment is from papertrey ink's mega mixed messages stamp set and the three little hearts I found in target in the dollar section.

HELLO KITTY GIFT SET

Hi friends!

Can you believe that I completely forgot to post this set?! Lol. For all of you that have the hello kitty greetings cartridge, you know that there is alot of layering to do when creating these cuts. It was alot of work because I wound up making 4 gift sets (one for each of my kid's teachers with 4 cards each) but it was so worth it! How adorable did they come out! I love these cards. Hello Kitty is so cute!

I cut all the images from the "Hello Kitty Greetings" cartridge at 4 inches and I cut out the little tag from "Tags, Bags, Boxes and More" on my gypsy. I used the hide contour feature to hide the little holes on the tags. I used the "Winter Wishes" scrappy moms stamp set for the sentiment. These cards are all standard A2 size cards.

BIKER GIRL CARD

Hi friends!

So, as promised I will continue to use cartridges that I barley ever use,lol.

Here is another card from the rock princess cartridge. I adore this cut! I think that she represents a strong, kick butt woman,lol. The sentiment goes perfect with this one!

This is a standard A2 size card. I cut out the biker girl at 3 inches and the papers I used is from recollections.

MAKE MUSIC!

My crafty goal in 2011 is to use the cricut cartridges that I barley use. You guys know how it is, we have so many that we sometimes forget what we have. Yes I'm definitely guilty of that,lol.

Anyway so I dusted off my rock princess cartridge ( which btw has so many awesome cuts ) and I decided to make a music themed card. I think it came out pretty cute! It has like a grungy type of personality.

This is a standard A2 size card. The designer paper I used is from the "Black Currant" stack from DCWV. I cut the guitar shape at 2 1/2 inches and I used the "Grunge Letters" stamp set from recollections for the sentiment.
